Hello All,

I have been trying hard to get myself to start “blogging” on a daily basis, and today I’m going to try and give it another shot.  I guess you will have to stop back by here tomorrow to see if I am going to follow through with this.  I currently have a litter of pups out of IFC Greenbay Butkus x CH GRHBCH Olinger’s Polly Wanna Wabbit.  Polly had 7 pups (5 females and 2 males).  They are all doing very great.  I am planning on keeping at least three (2 females and a male).  I think I have them already picked out.  They started eating dry dog food at 3 weeks old (as long as I crushed it up of course).  I think ol’ momma is  about ready to ship them out on their own so she can get back to doing what she was bred to do: Run Rabbits!  It was hard going to the Don McVay Sr. Memorial Hunt this past weekend without having either her or her littermate sister CH HBCH Olinger’s Singing Sadie with me.  Sadie was just bred about two weeks ago to WSHOWCH GRCH HBCH C&K’S Let’s Roll Rockin’ Rowdy.  Pups will probably be born around October 14-16.  I have been running my males a lot in the last two or three months.  Big Dan which is out of Sadie and GRCH GRHBCH White River Striker is becoming a very nice hound.  He has VERY good hunt and the biggest mouth I have heard on a beagle.  My good buddy Roy Pasmore said a couple of weeks ago when we were running that his mouth definitely fits him well.  Dan is a full 15’’ big boned hound.  Manny and Smoke are also getting a lot of ground time and will spend a lot of their time getting ran in ARHA Progressive Pack and UKC Performance Pack Hunts.  I will also be running Smoke and Dan in some upcoming UKC Hound & Hunter and Little Pack Trials.  I am still teaching computer classes for Connect Your Community in Coshocton.  My wife and I both currently teach their and she just got hired this school year at Ridgewood Local Schools in West Lafayette.  We were married on July 2nd, and are enjoying every day of our marriage.  With Jenny working two jobs, I have started to do my share of cooking in the evenings.  I have managed BBQ Chicken and Potatoes, and then yesterday I even ventured out and put a roast in the new crock pot that we won at the McVay Memorial raffle.  Well, I guess that is about enough for today!  Stop back tomorrow to see what exciting things have been taking place in the Olinger household and “Olinger Beagle Kennels.”  J
